I am a qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy

I practice long term and short term therapy, both individually and with couples

I have a private practice in the Wellington Wellbeing Centre in Hastings and the Enterprise Shopping Centre in Eastbourne.

I have a huge love and respect for animals and believe that they can be extremely therapeutic especially when working with trauma and sensitive issues and I therefore practice animal assisted therapy with my 8 year old Collie, Ellie.

I work within a relational framework as I believe that building a therapeutic relationship is the key towards learning who one is the world and to establish ways of change.

I can provide a safe, confidential space to enable you to open up about past and present traumas/ concerns and aid in the process of decontaminating unwanted thought processes in order to reach a new way of 'thinking' and therefore 'being' in the world.

I am a Registered Member of the United Kingdom Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (UKCP), United Kingdom Association for Transactional Analysis (UKATA) and European Association for Transactional Analysis (EATA), and follow their ethical codes and practices. This includes having regular supervision with other experienced professional psychotherapists, and engaging in regular training and other professional development.

Training, qualifications & experience

A-level Psychology and Sociology

BSc (Hons) Psychology

Four years MSc level clinical training in Transactional Analysis Pschotherapy leading to CTA/MSc TA Psychotherapy

Animal Assisted Therapy

PG Dip in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy

I worked with the samaritans for 5 years, firstly on the helpline and then taking a more active role in caller care plans including seeing clients face to face.

I have carried out support work in psychiatric mental health hospitals and have gained experience in working with those with more complex cases.

I have lots of experience working with addicts and their families effected by this.       

I Currently work with Gamcare which is the main registered charity in the UK working with gambling addicts and their families

I have used animals when working with those suffering from trauma

I work voluntarily for Bohemia Trust Counselling in Hastings

Cost

A 50 minute session is £40 but I am able to offer concessions for block bookings
